Το σημαντικότερο disco based party της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας για πρώτη φορά στην Αθήνα, καλεσμένο της ομάδας OUTRO, την Παρασκευή 13 Μαρτίου. Τα ιδρυτικά μέλη του Horse Meat Disco, James Hillard και Jim Stanton, φέρνουν το εκλεκτικό μουσικό τους γούστο και δίνουν στο Αθηναϊκό κοινό μιας πρώτης τάξεως ευκαιρία να ακούσει τον ήχο που οδήγησε το περιοδικό Mixmag να ανακηρύξει το Horse Meat Disco Best Club night του Λονδίνου για το 2008.

Συγκεντρώνοντας από την αρχή ένα ετερόκλητο κοινό από old time disco heads, club kids, bears & naturists, οι Horse Meat Disco διάλεξαν ένα υπόγειο στην China Town του Λονδίνου, για να εισάγουν τον νεοτερισμό στα gay clubs και να δημιουργήσουν ένα χώρο όπου οι disco fans με heterosexual persuasion μπορούσαν να ζήσουν την φαντασίωση του να πηγαίνουν σε ένα gay disco club χωρίς να αισθάνονται εντελώς out of place.
Τη φήμη της καλύτερης βραδιάς του Λονδίνου, την έχτισαν μέσα από μια σειρά από εκλεκτούς DJ guests όπως Dimitri From Paris, Derrick Carter, Daniele Baldelli, James Murphy, Prins Thomas, Todd Terje, Tim Sweeney, Lady Miss Kier, Luke Unabomber, Maurice Fulton, Rub ‘n’ Tug, Cosmo, Daniel Wang, Gerry Rooney, Andy Butler (Hercules & Love Affair) κ.α. ενώ τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια έχουν βρεθεί σε headline spot για festivals όπως το Glastonbury Festival και το Lovebox Weekender.
Την Παρασκευή 13 Μαρτίου θα διαπιστώσουμε γιατί οι Horse Meat Disco συνοδεύονται από συστάσεις όπως “best music heard & great party atmosphere” σε ένα βράδυ που η Αθήνα θα θυμάται για καιρό. Μαζί τους οι residents του Disco Pogo, αλλά και οι Amateurboyz.

Veda, after Russian Standard, is the most popular premium vodka here, and Black Ice is its new top-end bottle, launched this year. This vodka is ice-filtered through a screen made of platinum, which is a word that grabs Russians’ attention. After a few drinks of this stuff, another friend, Olga, sank into the couch, able only to read the writing on the bottle, where a snake curled around a Latin motto: “Know thyself, know life.” As I poured out several more shots, I noticed someone had cranked up the music as loud as it would go. The Zeitgeist Movement is not a political movement. It does not recognize nations, governments, races, religions, creeds or class.
